What is UVC?
UVC refers to the "C" wavelength of the ultraviolet light spectrum. This wavelength is the most germicidal in the entire UV spectrum. The powerful energy of UVC penetrates the DNA and RNA of harmful microorganisms, killing them or making it impossible for them to reproduce. In doing so, UVC stops surface and airborne mold, as well as viruses and bacteria - including tiny microbes that cannot be trapped by even the best air filters.
UVC is a well-established technology, used worldwide for many decades for water and hospital upper air purification. In the early 1990s, Steril-Aire pioneered the "UVC Emitter™", a new-generation UVC light designed specially to work in residential and commercial heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Steril-Zone is a portable room air purifier that combines UVC technology with an extended-life activated carbon filter and a high efficiency pleated filter for particulate and VOC control.
The UVC device works in concert with the particulate and carbon filters to capture all types of indoor pollutants. Steril-Zone is powerful enough to clean up to 1,000 sq. ft. of space in homes, offices, daycare and senior centers and a host of other applications.

SteriLight is an installed whole house UVC air purifier system. It may be used in any home equipped with a central air conditioning system or a forced air heating system with a separate fan control.
Installed in a central system near the coil and drain pan, SteriLight's UVC energy kills mold and other contaminants that build up inside the system, while also stopping harmful bacteria and viruses from recirculating through the air - delivering cleaner, healthier air to the entire home.
